What’s included in a tablescape?
✓ Tables and chairs. Need somewhere to sit? We’ll provide the tables and chairs, unless you have existing tables and chairs that you’d like us to decorate.
✓ Tableware. Let us know what you’re eating. We’ll provide dinner plates, salad plates, and any other plates you might need for your meal.
✓ Flatware. We’ll bring the necessary forks, knives, spoons, and any specialty utensils required for the meal you're serving.
✓ Glassware. Depending on the type of event, you may need wine glasses, water glasses, champagne flutes, or other specialty glassware! We’ll have what you need for your theme and what’s being poured.
✓ Table Decor. This is where we create. Table decor typically consists of floral arrangements, candles, lanterns, and seasonal elements to make things interesting!
✓ Personalized elements. Let’s make it special. We can include personal items, like custom menus, place cards, and beyond.

On the day of your event, our team will promptly arrive to set your table by your event start time. We do all the heavy lifting, quite literally, so you can focus on your other hosting responsibilities!

Now it’s time to party! We hope you have so much fun celebrating with your family, friends, or colleagues. Once the shindig is over, our team will come back to take all our belongings back with us.
Can’t I do this myself?
Absolutely! We encourage everyone to design their own tablescape. It’s fun, rewarding, and a great way to channel creative energy. If you need help designing your table, a great resource for inspiration is our Instagram page. And, if you host your own soirée, tag us so we can marvel over your work!
However, while you are more than capable of setting your table, there’s undeniable value in working with our team of professionals for your special events! Not only do we bring creativity and expertise to the table, but we also relieve you of the time-consuming task of sourcing, designing, and setting up your tablescape.
With that said, it can be quite costly to purchase everything you need for a tablescape! If you already have the tables and chairs, you’ll need enough dinnerware, flatware, and glassware for your guest count. Not to mention, you’ll need the linens and fun elements to bring a tablescape to life!
It also takes a great deal of time to create a tablescape. Assuming you don’t have everything to host a dinner party, you’ll need to purchase all the elements of a tablescape from multiple different merchants. It is also time-consuming to set the table yourself, especially if you’re cooking, cleaning, or worrying about other hosting duties!

BEHIND OUR VOGUE TABLESCAPE
In February 2023, Picnic & Peonies had the privilege of creating a captivating tablescape for a Vogue photoshoot. Our client had a specific vision in mind: a glamorous Art Deco-inspired tablescape. With enthusiasm and creativity, we went above and beyond to craft a truly distinctive, elegant, and photogenic setting. To add a personal touch, we incorporated playful bee-themed plates, a delightful nod to our client, Bea.
THE MOST IDYLLIC BACKYARD WEDDING
In October 2022, we hosted a stunning fall wedding in a charming backyard setting! With an intimate gathering of just 15 guests, this particular setup holds a special place in our hearts. It featured enchanting moody lighting, a palette of rich autumn hues, and an overwhelming sense of love that enveloped the entire backyard.
Celebrating J Lo’s Sprtiz Brand, Delola
During summer of 2023, Picnic & Peonies played host to a delightful event in celebration of Delola, the latest enchanting spritz brand by none other than J Lo herself (and if you haven’t tried Delola yet, we highly recommend!). Drawing inspiration from Delola’s Italian-inspired branding, we meticulously curated our tablescape, weaving together blues and whites, with bursts of citrus accents.

What if I already have a table?
That’s great! If you already have a table at your disposal, we’ll be happy to decorate that, too! We just ask that you share images and dimensions of your table, so we know what we’re working with.
Where can I host a tablescape?
You can host a tablescape at your home or in a public space, like a local park. Please note that some parks may require permits. Also, we are not able to set up on national parkland or private property, unless we have permission.
How does it work?
We show up, set up, and come back to pack everything away! The only thing we ask is that you discard any food or beverages. Otherwise, full clean-up is an add-on.

We have an extensive inventory and can accommodate any theme or color scheme. If you don’t know what you’d like your theme to be, you can use our Instagram as a resource - otherwise, we’d be happy to share
